Day of Practice at Stone House
October 1, 2011

I am grateful for this opportunity to teach and learn at as I  lead a Day of Practice at Stone House, http://www.stonecircles.org/  a retreat center outside Chapel Hill dedicated to the concept of Spiritual Activism. This is open to the public and located in a beautiful rural setting.  Attendance is free but you must register online.

It is my intention to assist participants through self awareness and self compassion, to explore the leading edges of their own consciousness, the "sticking points" and barriers that currently impact their daily lives.

We will invite our energies to first settle into the present through guided and silent meditations, setting of intentions and relaxing our bodies through awareness and guided movement. Weather permitting we will explore the energies of nature around us and invite the healing and balance that is available through our interactions with the natural world. We will have opportunity to connect with our fellow participants in a safe and supportive environment. I will work with each participant individually as guided by their intentions, my intuitive understanding and what presents itself during the course of the day.

There are of course no requirements as to belief systems or ideology, only a willingness to seek and express what is right for each.

To register follow this link...http://www.stonecircles.org/category/events/
The session is free and includes   a vegetarian lunch. Donations are accepted online in advance or on the day of the session. Limited to 20 participants. The contact person is Jenifer Jackson at  jennifer @stonecircles.org.

McLaughlin Workshop in Martha's Vineyard

October 21-23. 2011
3-part intensive

This will be Meg’s fourth trip to the Vineyard. In this three-part intensive workshop, we will work on deepening our meditation and explore the practical usage of energies in healing, connecting, sensing, and awakening our intuition.  Meg will also interact with attendees in a trance-channel state, channeling the energy of Kwan Yin.

Sum Faht is a practice that integrates mind, body, and spirit by combining traditional seated meditation in stillness with standing, walking and guided movement meditations.  Sum Faht meditation activates the divine energies of the spiritual heart.  In working with these energies we discover and nurture something very special inside of us.  We experience a flowering of the spirit -- opening the heart, becoming more intuitive, and more able to heal our selves and others.

Meg McLaughlin is an initiated student of Leong Tan, a spiritual teacher and channel from the Chinese community in Malaysia.  Mr. Tan has devoted his life to helping people through his teaching and by healing with spiritual energies.

In her position as Mr. Tan’s student, and as an initiated student of the Teacher, Wong Loh Sin See, Meg has the unique opportunity to travel with, and study with them on an on-going basis.  She is able to share her experience with us through meditation classes, weekend workshops and private sessions throughout the United States.

Meg combines her own intuition, humor and compassion to offer teachings that deeply touch the spirit and hearts of her students. As a channel for the essence of the Bodhisatva Kwan Yin, “Who Hears All Things”, she brings us the opportunity for a profoundly moving experience.
