LIVING MEDITATION

Meditation is the practice of stilling or focusing the mind so that we can become more aware of who we are and what we feel in the present moment. The result of such practices can have profound impact on stress and pain relief, health, and clarity in everyday relationships and decision-making.
As a teacher of meditation, I utilize personalized instruction in techniques such as mindfulness, guided meditation, movement and walking meditation, and healing sounds. These "techniques" draw from ancient practices such as Taoism, Buddhism, Jewish meditation and contemplative prayer.
I also use my own intuitive abilities to help assess mental, physical and emotional patterns that inhibit both the flow of internal energy "chi" and the ability to achieve states of deep relaxation. I offer clients "assisted meditation" in the form of direct energy transfer similar to Reiki or Therapeutic Touch that can promote deepened states of awareness and relief of pain and tension. Always returning to the practicalities of daily living, I provide coaching for personal issues and problem solving to help clients develop a meditation practice that works for them. Through all of these approaches, the goal is for each student to connect with their own personal internal "compass" and to utilize their expanded awareness to live a life of balance and health.
